Jesse Kohn, 16, has been training in dance since he was 8 years old. He started dancing with Kaye-Lynn Dance Studio for a few years, until he began training with 1991 MTV Choreographer of the Year, Jamale Graves. While under the leadership of Mr. Graves, Jesse earned many awards such as Mr. All-American Talent, NUVO Best Dancer Finalist, JUMP 24/7 Dancer, and more. In the past two years, Jesse has competed with First Position School of Dance, where he has received many scholarships, special awards, and overall placements. Throughout his training, he has attended several dance conventions such as The Dance Awards, the National Dance Honors, and Radix Dance Convention, receiving much recognition and scholarships from all. In addition, Jesse has worked with New York City choreographers/teachers such as Ashlé Dawson, Michelle Barber, and Jamie Salmon. Currently, Jesse attends East Brunswick High School, and will be studying his second semester in Israel where he will continue to train with many professionals.
